100 Days of Action
As Hennepin County Attorney, I will begin to take action on day one. The first one hundred days will set the course for change at the County Attorney's Office.
My administration will move to protect the most vulnerable among us and make Hennepin County safe for everyone. This is my commitment to the voters of Hennepin County: 100 Days of Action.

Create a Federal Accountability Task Force
Create a Federal Accountability Task Force to investigate and prosecute violations of Minnesota law by federal agents during Operation Metro Surge.
The Task Force will pair volunteer subject-matter expert attorneys from outside the County Attorney's Office, at no cost to the County, with Assistant County Attorneys and Assistant Attorneys General to make sure investigations and prosecutions are done right. -

Revise Juvenile Charging Policies
Revise Juvenile Charging Policies to ensure accountability for gun crimes, crimes of violence, and repeat offenders, including car theft.

Create the Crime Victims' Bill of Rights
Create the Crime Victims' Bill of Rights so victims and their families know exactly what to expect from the County Attorney's Office at every stage of their case.
As part of this Bill of Rights, we will expand and streamline U and T visa certification for qualifying crime victims. -

Convene Victim Advocacy Groups
Convene Victim Advocacy Groups to expand access to the County Attorney's Office and improve responses to domestic and sexual violence.

Collaborate with Local Law Enforcement
Collaborate with Local Law Enforcement and work to embed Assistant County Attorneys in High-Crime Areas to build trust with residents and support targeted enforcement initiatives.

Create a Public Transit Safety Task Force
Create a Public Transit Safety Task Force with Metro Transit Police and transit stakeholders to build a county-wide strategy for a safer transit system.

Establish the Educators' Public Safety Forum
Establish the Educators' Public Safety Forum, a quarterly forum giving teachers and educators a direct line to the County Attorney on safety concerns in our schools and among our students.

Launch the Hennepin Public Safety Council
Launch the Hennepin Public Safety Council, a standing partnership with law enforcement built on listening sessions and working groups.
I will bring together every police chief in Hennepin County to understand the public safety issues in their communities and get their input on every prosecution policy, current and future. -

Convene the Hennepin County Mayors and ensure the County Attorney's Office serves every city and addresses every community's public safety concerns.

Launch a Targeted Enforcement Initiative Against Fentanyl and Opioid Dealers, with a focus on fentanyl dealing hotspots as identified by community leaders.

Convene a Wage Theft and Labor Trafficking Working Group to advise the office and drive prosecutions of employers who steal wages and traffic workers.
